Earlier this month, Teanau Tuiono's members' bill of Restoring Citizenship Removed By Citizenship (Samoa) Act 1982 Bill was pulled from the biscuit tin in Parliament. This bill would restore the right to New Zealand citizenship for people from Samoa who were born between 1924 and 1949 - a right promised to them and found owed them by New Zealand's then highest court.

Join Green MP Teanau Tuiono and Efeso Collins to kōrero more about Teanau members' bill and where to next for our pasifika whānau in Aotearoa.

We especially encourage our Tagata Moana and Pasefika whānau to join us with their ideas and questions.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. Please get in touch if you have any other accessibility requirements and we will do our utmost to accommodate.
