Climate Kōrero:
Fixing the Capital Connection
** Please note that we've already maxed out our capacity for this event. At the event, we will be prioritising entrance for people who have RSVP'd to keep numbers small due to COVID.***
Everything we build today must set us on track to creating a healthy planet. Creating low-carbon transport is crucial to providing our communities with climate-friendly ways to live.
In Palmerston North, we’re lucky enough to still have a functioning passenger service to Wellington City. The Capital Connection is a fantastic service, but we all know it needs some work if it’s to be a genuine alternative to taking the car.
On Tuesday 12th of July, Green MPs Teanau Tuiono and Julie Anne Genter will be in Palmerston North to talk about the future of the Capital Connection and how we can rebuild rail in Aotearoa. Joining the discussion will be Palmerston North City Councilor Brent Barrett and Greater Wellington Regional Councilor Thomas Nash.
Please RSVP to let us know you'll be there.
For COVID safety reasons, numbers are limited and priority will be given to those who have RSVP’d. Please wear a mask and sign in for contact-tracing purposes.
