Our Education Future & Student Support Hui: Chlöe & NZUSA

Since the announcement of the Government support package for students, we've received a number of emails and messages expressing concern about debt and the need for future-thinking.

As a support partner to the Government, the Greens have the ability to work with other parties to develop stronger solutions. We've also invited the NZ University Student's Association President, Isabella Lenihan-Ikin, to share the vision for higher education.

It's become obvious that students are a huge, albeit heavily individualised group. Your power comes in joining together to recognise the change you can achieve. This hui is a starting point for reinvisioning a future that's currently laden with debt barriers, towards ensuring every citizen has access to an accessible higher education in the same way that they have a right to a passport. This is about opportunity, mobility, and a better society for all.
