Panel Discussion: How do we Build a Fairer Economy?

Oxfam’s recent inequality index has confirmed what we have known for a long time in that New Zealand’s economy is in desperate need of an overhaul, with Aotearoa ranking 136th out of 161 countries for fair wealth distribution.
Join Green Party MP Hon Julie Anne Genter; Professor of Philosophy and Director of the Philosophy, Politics and Economics Programme Lisa Ellis; and Wellbeing Economy Alliance NZ Lead and former Green MP Gareth Hughes, for a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities we face in building an economy grounded in fairness.
Fair access to resources is ever more critical as we face bigger challenges from the climate and biodiversity crises
This free public meeting will be held from 7pm at the Otago Museum’s Beautiful Science Gallery. Nibbles will be provided.
