For $3 billion, would you rather give landlords a tax cut or deliver on the full Dunedin Hospital upgrade, which would provide:

  • 410 beds.
  • 26 theatres.
  • 9 CT, MRI & PET Scanners.
  • 53 Emergency Department beds.
  • A new 23-hour ward.
  • Improve the healthcare system for 181,500 New Zealander in Otepoti, people across the south, and the whole of Aotearoa.

The Government is claiming this would cost $3 billion and saying that is too expensive, yet they are happy to give a similar figure back to landlords encouraging property speculation.

Take our poll below, and then send an email to Luxon asking him to fund the hospital properly.

The Green Party believes the Government needs to prioritise funding health and wellness over lining the pockets of landlords.

Failing to fund our public health institutions leads to the privatisation of our healthcare system. Healthcare is a human right which should be equitable for all, not just those who can afford it.

A Green government would fund our health system to ensure everyone has access to the care they need.
