Today most kids travel to school in the backseat of a car. We need safer, slower streets around our schools so kids aren’t afraid to bike, walk and scoot their way to school.

The Green Party will set a 30 km/h speed limit outside all schools in urban areas and invest $200 million to make it safer for children and young people to walk and cycle to school.

Creating safer, slower streets will mean our kids can be more active, healthy, happy and safe.
