Join Green MP, Gareth Hughes, as he discusses the importance of staying connected to grassroots movements that are driving change. Gareth will invite feedback on how politicians can better represent a progressive vision while being part of current political systems.

Due to a close family bereavement, Green MP Marama Davidson will not be able to come to Christchurch tomorrow for the talk. We know that many of you were looking forward to this time with her, so we will let you know as soon as she is able to speak in Christchurch again.

One of the strengths of our Green Party caucus is that they each have their own unique experience of what it means to be an activist, and we are excited that Green MP Gareth Hughes is able to join us instead and can share his story with you, and his personal insights into the topic of why politicians need activists.

The Green Party is partnering with the Space Academy Cafe in a series of political conversations throughout the year. On the second Wednesday of every month, one of your Green MPs will talk politics, and answer your questions about issues facing you.
