Say no to a new fossil fuel power station now

There’s a proposal going through the Waikato Council at the moment that would see a new fossil fuel power plant being built near Otorohonga. There are far better options for New Zealand – clean energy is our future, not fossil fuels.

Powering Auckland means we need more than 34KW of energy generated each day. And when we have 3837MW of consented renewable generation ready and waiting to be built, it just doesn't make sense to commit to another bad gas power plant.

We can keep the lights on without burning fossil fuels.
